TLA are very proud to be offering a range of the superb Chapman screwdriver kits. Made to a very high specification, they feature hollow ground, parallel sided screwdriver tips for a perfect fit and to avoid marring your work. All tips are hardened to between Rockwell 52 and 55, depending on size, for optimum hardness and toughness. The bits feature a ball bearing for a snug fit and a knurled spinner which allows them to be used comfortably in the hand without a holder. The kit contains a screwdriver handle and extension, both of which feature an allen set screw, allowing you to lock the bit for total rigidity. It also contains the famous Chapman miniature ratchet wrench. This kit,the Basic Slotted Set no 9600, has for a long time been a favourite with gunsmiths and shooters and anyone who needs to work on precision or valuable equipment. As well as the handle extension and wrench it contains 14 slotted bits, 2 phillips bits and an allen key for the set screw. It also contains a useful leaflet including a torque chart. The row of slots on the right of the sturdy plastic case is left empty for you to add extra specialised bits for your own workshop needs. For a long time these kits have been a favourite with gunsmiths, target shooters and precision engineers, but recently have been very difficult to obtain in the UK. This, the 9600 starter "gun screwdriver kit" used to be sold in the UK in a red case, and was the favourite choice of sporting shooters.
