Veneers refers to thin slices of wood that typically are glued onto core panels to produce flat panels such as doors, tops and panels for cabinets, parquet floors and parts of furniture. The excellent joinery and precision sanding of Sheet Veneer ensures color consistency and superior finish. Engineered with a true cross-linking bond between the backer and the face, Sheet Veneer is available with paper, 3M pressure sensitive adhesive to true phenolic for the backer. FEATURES: Size: 4' x 8' Backer: Paper Color: Cherry Color Character: One of our most beautiful hardwoods, readily available in both lumber and veneers. Sapwood is a creamy-pink color, clearly distinguishable from the reddish-brown heartwood. Occasional gum spots and streaks are allowed. Veneer Cut: Plain Sliced - The half log, of flitch, is mounted with the heart side flat against the guide plate of the slicer and the slicing is done parallel to a line through the center of the log.
