I have yet to have anyone request a return, but thought I would offer something similar to what an antique or collectable store might offer to purchase an item back for if somebody decides they no longer want it. I have to thin out my collection of genuine decommissioned City of Chicago Street signs! DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE ONES I WANT TO GET RID OF ARE ALL GONE! ABOUT THIS AUCTION- This for a Handicap Parking sign w/ Arrow Sign. It measures 18 inches by 18 inches along the sides and is the standard thick metal signs the city uses. Includes the legend "City of Chicago" on the sign. (see photos). Some people paint over the city of Chicago and use it in a private parking lot. Place it in your driveway by the back door! Some people even use these in their private lots and just paint over the "City of Chicago" using white paint because they are getting a high quality sign for much cheaper than lower quality signs are priced at new. It has the typical scratches, gouges, fading, bends, and blemishes (see pictures) of a used decommissioned Chicago street sign. It likely has some dirt and dust on it too. If there is a dollar, ruler, or something else in the picture other than they sign, it is not included and is for purposes of letting you judge the dimensions only. HELPFUL HINT- IF ALLOWED, ENLARGE THE PICTURE, THEN RIGHT CLICK IT AND DOWNLOAD - YOU CAN OFTEN FURTHER ENLARGE IT TO SEE THINGS EVEN BETTER. LOCAL PICKUP- Locals MIGHT be able to arrange a PICKUP near Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Lincolnshire or in the West Loop. However, they will need to CONTACT ME ABOUT MAKING PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS as I will not take any form of payment that Ebay requires proof of delivery to avoid chargebacks, like it does if you use Paypal. I cannot tell you what form of payment is required for PICKUPS because Ebay says you cannot specifically ask for certain "paper" forms of payment upon PICKUP. They do say I can have you contact me about making payment arrangements upon pickup, so please do that. Shipping- I'm willing to combine shipping TO SAVE YOU MONEY! (This is probably especially useful with the bigger signs as sometimes the size of the package, instead of the weight, is what is making the shipping expensive). IMPORTANT- To get get combined shipping you MUST pay for all your purchased items at the same time AFTER I SEND YOU THE REVISED INVOICE. This means that if you win one sign and plan on bidding on another, DON'T PAY FOR THE FIRST SIGN YET (also please let me know that you are waiting on some other bids). LET ME KNOW when you are ready to pay for them and I will see if shipping will be cheaper in one package (it often is) and then I will send an invoice through Ebay with the combined shipping applied. You will NOT get COMBINED SHIPPING if you do not pay for all purchases at the same time. Sorry, but if you pay for a sign EBAY wants me to ship it out within my stated ship time, so you might not be able to combine shipping in that case. Although I use the UPS shipping calculator, I reserve the right to substitute shipping via FEDEX ground instead as that has a location closer to me. I am selling a number of items that all used scrap metal in the form of street signs, therefore I have not tested them or checked for potential defects. I take pictures so you can see the condition of what is essentially scrap metal so you can tell the condition, such as bends, gouges, cracks, holes, fading, surface appearance and hopefully any other factors that would affect the value of this material. I would not list the item if I thought that there any problem that is not in the listing, including the photos.
