You are bidding on wood from a beautiful mature Chinese Chestnut tree. The tree has been on our property at least since the 1940's.  There are 3-4 big sections roughly 40 feet long. Main trunks are relatively straight and are at least 12" in diameter. Tree came down in recent storm.  The branches have been carefully cut and stored, and the main trunks are still intact in their original lengths. You cut and haul away or I will cut for you in desired lengths.  All branches are included.  The wood is in pristine condition and is not rotted or diseased in any way.  A 4" diameter branch was tested as an example to see what the wood is like to work with, and produced a nice bowl and some figurines.  The natural designs in the wood are spectacular.  This type of timber is pretty hard to find; especially this size - and would be ideal for making furniture, tables, chairs, flooring, baseboards, molding, etc.  Local pickup only in 13901 zip code in upstate New York.
