This item came from a company that distributed stationary supplies to independent stationary stores. The items are called "Junior Magnetic Clips", and are 1-1/4" x 1-3/8". They have a 7/8" circular depression on the face, suitable for reference number or letter stickers, or simply colored stickers. These spring loaded clips have 1" square, RIVETED magnets, compared to most other clips which are simply hot glued on (see photo). The box says these will hold up to 10 pounds; that is dependent on the surface the magnet is applied to. I used the magazine in the photo, which is both thick and heavy (more than a pound), and the clip held fine on a painted smooth steel surface, but not on one painted with a wrinkle finish. These open up to hold something approximately 5/8" thick. This is for a distributor box of 50 clips, individually wrapped in a POS box. 50 pieces, for a buck apiece! These are new, from the stock shelves until I obtained them. I guarantee these clips to be as shown and described, but nothing beyond that. They are sold "as-is" with no return.
