 This is a used Cincinnati Bickford 28" Super Service layout drill press.It is in very good condtion. This machine was built with a Pratt & Whitney spindle instead of a Morse Taper spindle. It uses the same collets as a Pratt & Whitney 2A jig borer and will also except a screw on borring head. There are collets included that will hold Morse Taper shanks; #1 & #2 & #3 & #4 and there is a screw on borring head included. This is the most universal machine I have ever owned. I have bored cylinders on this machine because it has a greater work height and quill travel than my P&W 2A jig borer. I have done milling operations for the same reason, it had a larger work capacity than my #3 Cincinnati horizontal mill. The 18" x 38" (inside the coolant trough) Tee slotted table moves left/right & front/back like a mill. The table/knee lowers and raises like a mill. The head raises & lowers and is built heaver than a Bridgeport type mill. The collets go up to 1-1/16" dia, (larger than a Bridgeport type mill).  There are 12 spindle speeds from 90 - 1500 rpm. and 9 spindle/quill feed rates. It runs on 220/440 vt, 3ph power and is currently wired for 220.  It is equipped with a coolant pump. The collets and boring head pictured on the table are included.
