This is the first and only complete motorola Epson HX-20 based portable radio programmer I have ever found. It comes with the Epson HX-20 portable computer (w/ motorola eproms installed), motorola sidecar eprom burner (model Y1069B), the micro cassette drive, the rom module with motorola rom installed, Epson power adapter, 7 motorola mauals (on the eeprom programmer, RLN4008 RIB interface box, systems 9000 programmer and duplicator), a few quick reference cards on programming mostar radios, 5 systems 9000 software tapes, 1 mostar program tape, 1 AVL program tape, a serial cable w/ 15 pin plug that appears to go to the rib box (not included), a cable that goes to a 9 pin male that says AVL, a serial cable that says AVL and goes to a 15 pin male plug, a mystery box that has a card edge connector on one cable and a dip plug model 0180357A52 -I think this is for a non-display mostar, several brand new ribbons for the built in thermal printer, several misc used micro cassettes, another HX-20 computer with sidecar rom module. You have to plug the computer in for quite a while before it will power on, this indicates the internal nicad battery needs replacing, it's pretty easy and there are instruction on the net. The second computer was just in case I ever needed parts for the motorola programmer. This is untested sold as-is as I don't have any of the Syntor / X9000 / mostar / etc radios to test it with. This is for the radios that came out towards the end of the R1801 suitcase programmer but before the software / PC / RIB programming became common. This will not do the newer radios like xts3000 xts5000 astro saber etc. It's a very cool vintage motorola collectable. I think this could have been used for prototype AVL systems (automatic vehicle locator) back in the day, not sure that's what AVL means though.
