A:They are 28" from the ground when the chair is fully raised, and about 8" above the seat. The arm rests are bolted to the seat and back, and can't be adjusted. Q: How's the butt padding? Seriously, I need all the help I can get back there... is it decent and does it hold up? A:No, the seat padding does not hold up. Within six weeks the foam in mine broke down to the point it was like sitting on a park bench with a piece of vinyl thrown over it. I would look for a different chair. Q: What is the thickness of the cushion? A:It's a decent thickness. I'm not at home at the moment to give an exact measure but I can tell you that I'm 6'3, 325 pounds, I've sat in the chair for probably 150 hours and it hasn't deflated a bit. It's very comfortable and holds up well Q: What is the seat hight when fully raised?
