This auction is for a Comtec Information Systems Inc. Model  MP5022 Portable Printer, Battery Dead? This is a vintage printer since I see a date of 10/08/97 on it. This mini printer looks to be in fantastic condition cosmetically, and if looks were runability, this would be smoking! This came from a local bar code production facility that has a lot of newer items, or older vintage items that they cleaned out, that are unused or lightly used. This has been sitting around for awhile, since I was trying to find the correct power supply to charge up the battery with. I did find a 5V charger, but when I tried to charge it, when the ON button was pushed in, it would light up the POWER light, and LOW BATTERY light lit, then went out, so either the power supply is not strong enough, or the battery is completely dead. I did check the battery, and it didn't read much at all. Probably needs a new battery pack, or maybe someone can "zap" it back to life. Very cool looking printer, with a panel that has a blue FEED, green ON and red OFF skin button. Light indicators are POWER, ERROR and LOW BATTERY. At least I know the POWER and LOW BATTERY lights work! There is a roll of what looks like regular paper, with two sheets, so maybe one is a copy of the receipt? Looking closer, it looks like whiter paper with a plastic backing on back, like you can peel it off and stick it somewhere, like a sticky tag. The round knob on the side advances the paper to come out more. The crank knob on the side also advances the paper. There is a SLIDE UP TO RELEASE BATTER switch on the side, and if you push it up, you can slide the battery pack off the bottom of the printer. There is a round 7-pin female connector next to a ring loop. There is a ring loop on it, so maybe you can mount it on your belt loop? Super clean. Very nice looking printer, just wish I could power it up. Maybe I can find a power supply later and retest. At this time, sold AS IS without any power supply or any other items. Thanks for your time. Will run auction for 7 days and if it doesn't sell, will increase price and send to storefront. Buyer pays shipping cost, please see shipping statement before making any payment, thanks!

Seller Notes This printer looks to be in great shape cosmetically, just don't have power supply to charge battery with. I tried charging battery with a power supply that was 5V, but didn't charge sufficiently. Battery might be bad?
