8" Chiseled Slate step liner insert 8" Heavy chiseled slate step insert for creation of beautiful step risers. Edge of slate are meticulously chiseled for relief. Can be used along with Split Slate liners Actual size is 7.5" for matching 2"x8". 8 ft length. They can easily be joined for a longer spread. Joint touch-ups are a breeze and impossible to detect. Excellent for making landscape stone molds. 1" thick with up to 5/8" profile. 19 lbs. Listing is for ONE liner FORM LINERS: One of the more drastic effects you can add to a decorative concrete pour is the appropriate use of detailed step inserts. They can make steps and project edges look amazingly like hand chiseled or tooled stone edges, without the labor of that task. Step liners are highly effecient at providing edge detail that cannot be had otherwise. They are used by inserting them along the inner edge of your forms before pouring the project. Once the concrete is set, you dismantle the formwork and you are left with a real stone casting made along the step insert. That can then be detailed and colored in any number of ways to provide the unique look you are going for. They are often usen in conjuntion with a border edge(as shown in lower picture) to define the texture along those edges. Walttools step inserts are sized to fit common 6 inch and 8 inch lumber. Shown left is the 6" split stone liner, a favorite of many. We also offer liners in a ultra slim design for producing great texture effects without the heft of the ful liner. Those will be our feather edge insert designs.
