Continuum© Surelite SLI-10 Nd:YAG Laser System ex-R&D and fully Tested Laser Head (LH) Power Control Unit (PCU) PCU Internals DESCRIPTION Surelite is the most imitated Nd:YAG laser design in the industry. At the heart of each Continuum laser system is a very high efficiency pump chamber to couple the flashlamp light into the Nd:YAG rod. Through the use of a diffuse reflector concept, Continuum is able to produce high gain with low heat buildup in the overall system. The result is superior beam quality and excellent passive beam pointing stability without costly active locking technologies used by other companies. LASER TEST All measurements made at λ=1064nm were conducted using a Pulsewidth ~5ns and QSW Delay of 189μs. Inspected optics (i.e Nd:YAG rod, pockel cell, λ/4 plate, RM and OC) and surfaces found free of defects. Both the PCU and Laser Head were tested for functionality and lasing on 11/2014. The surelite laser undergone routine maintenance in its tenure with only a "LASER ON" LED, keyswitch and internal cooling hoses having been recently replaced.
