This combined packaging greatly simplifies the often confusing process of selecting recessed lighting.The P300TW kit combines 7-1/4-inch diameter white trim and black baffle with 6-inch low profile housing. The light is thermally protected and listed for damp locations making it ideal for use in a variety of applications in new construction, remodels, or suspended ceilings. The low profile housing makes this an excellent choice for 2- by 6-inch joist construction common in older housing, or for installations with minimal available space. The black baffle helps to reduce glare and control light. A combination of several recessed light kits can be used to illuminate an entire room, or single lights can be strategically placed as task lighting in areas such as the kitchen, home office, or laundry room.Proper installation of the light requires that insulation be kept three inches from the housing.
