Corning PC420 PC-420 Lab Hotplate Stirrer 5 x 7" Top Corning hot plates and stirrers were designed from the ground up to include a wide range of customer-requested features. The Pyroceram* top is flatter to provide faster, more uniform heating. It is also whiter to provide monitoring of color changes. This new top remains easy to clean and highly resistant to scratches, corrosion, and chemical attack. These hot plates are fully enclosed and sealed to protect sensitive components from harsh environments and reduce maintenance time and costs. A rugged, double ball bearing motor ensures years of reliable service. A support rod mount at the rear of the housing allows a standard retort rod to be directly attached to the unit for a thermometer, electrode, buret, or whatever your application demands. Extra large knobs and large, easy-to-read numbers provide better control. Microprocessor design provides superb control of both heating and stirring. Unique software provides more power as needed to assure optimal performance. Bright LED indicator lights let you see unit status at a glance. During operation and after the heat is turned off, an indicator light blinks a warning that the top is too hot to touch (>140°F). A microprocessor ensures minimum heat-up times for samples by supplying maximum power to the heating elements when cold. Temperature Range: 25 to 550°C (77 to 1022°F). 120V, 60 Hz. Fully operational, some gray staining on the unit, original heating knob has been replaced as shown in the picture. Email me if you would like the instruction manual emailed to you in pdf format.
