Covaris S2 Focused Ultrasonicator s 2 The instrument in its original laboratory setting. All other items in photo are not included in sale. For Research Use Only. This unit ships from Australia This instrument is one of a number of different high-end laboratory instruments that have become available due to the winding up of a research project that was attached to a major city hospital pathology laboratory. It presents in excellent cosmetic condition. (I note that on this unit there is no perspex guard or water level indicator as on some) The information from the lab indicates that it was purchased new on 31/12/2008 (S/N 443). The information also states that it was in working condition at last use when the project closed down in May, 2013. It has been unsued since, and I personally de-installed it from the lab bench. It was connected to the chiller unit, (which was using a green coloured fluid). I have disconnected this unit but retained the L and R valves with the S2. I have not flushed the unit or attempted any other deinstallation - I trust the buyer will know about any such proceedures prior to use... I am not going to sell that chiller unit internationally, due to the cost of shipping, and the ready availablilty of those units in the US or local markets. I have reduced the price accordingly. For sale is the main S2 unit only and three tubes along with software. The tubes are: * 1.50ml microfuge tube. *0.65ml microfuge tube. * 6mm MicroTube holder . The MicroTube holder has this written on its side "6mm, 500114" Also now included but not in photos, are the two rubber pipes leading to the chiller unit. These pipes are about 1.3 metres long and in good condition. (see photos) - except last photo which is the unit in the original setting with other equipment not included in this sale. The software disk has been misplaced, and so Covaris have supplied me with a copy of the necessary software plus a PDF of the user manual. These are supplied with the unit on a memory stick. Please supply your own computer type cable with suitable style wall plug that matches your local type. Only what is in the photos is in the sale - no more or less - please look carefully at the photos as part of your due diligence to see what is included and also the cosmetic condition. - The last photo is of the unit in the original lab setting - it is for illustration only, none of the other items in that photo are included in this sale. Payment I normally use Paypal for my transactions (I am a Verified, Premier user) Paypal has also made me eligible to recieve higher Paypal Payments as a single transaction such as the sale price of this sale. (The normal limit per Paypal transfer is $10k) However the buyer needs to be a Verified member and also have arranged with their Credit Card company to to such a large single transaction. If not, then any Paypal payment would need to be done in two transactions to add up to total cost because there woud be the standard Paypal limit of $10k per transfer. Paypal advise me that Paypal protection is then void. I am also happy to use Escrow.com I used them for my last large transaction, and found them excellent. Escrow.com is the only escrow company that Ebay will endorse, and so the only Escrow service I am prepared to use. Before you use Escrow, please do speak to an Ebay Help Consultant and the Escrow.com Consultant to check it out to understand the system. Escrow Inspection/confirmation period after delivery is three Calendar days. As the seller, I will be liable for all escrow fees - however.... The buyer is responsible for paying the escrow fee in the unlikely event of a return. However, bottom line is, - I am equally ok to use either Paypal or Escrow…..the choice is with the buyer. Shipping Insured Trackable Shipping will be by Fedex Priority ONLY. The delivery will need to be signed for (with electronic recording for verification) Delivery due to Escrow payment must be to a secure mutually agreed upon address for digitally recorded signature by Fedex. Delivery due to Paypal payment is ONLY to a Paypal verified address. Delivery time by Fedex is normally 3- 5 days depending on location. Times may be longer is there are customs delays. I have shipped a number of instruments to the US and safety and security are of the unmost importance to me. I will pack this unit well and within a large instrument case similar in style to a Pelican instrument case.
