Product Description  The # 5606601 CFS 5400C water filter cartridge are designed to improve beverage clarity, increase holding times, and maintain efficient brewing machine operations. A high capacity sodium ion exchange resin reduces the hard scale that causes cloudy tea. The “softened” water can increase holding times and reduce product waste. Reduction of scale hardness also keeps brewing equipment running smoothly. The Optional blending allows mineral bypass for improved beverage quality and water softness. To detemine sizing: Divide the grain capacity of the system by the incoming water hardness to determine gallons (liters) of water treated. For Example: If your Incoming hardness is @ 15 grains/gallon the filters capacity is at @ 5,250 grains, then, the Gallons (liters) treated = 350 gal. (1,325 lit.) System Features: 1” NPT inlet and outlet ports. The CFS-5400-C Filtration System is used in a single up / down only vessel design. The CFS 5400C Filtration System is used to reduce carbonate & water hardness through the use of ion exchange resin found in the CUNO CFS5400C. Resin is to have no color throw in the effluent water. The CFS5400 Filtration System is used to incorporate an optional integrated bypass. The CFS5400 Filtration System is manufactured from FDA CFR-21 and/or NSF compliant materials. Each CFS5400 System has a maximum operating pressure of 100 psi (690 kPa) and operating temperature of 100°F (38°C). Cartridge is easily removable and disposable.
