The MaxReader Development Kit is a versatile development tool for design engineers to develop and thoroughly test the capabilities of Ramtron's MaxArias wireless memory using both a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and Command Line Interface. The MaxReader board enables access to the full, higher-level user-memory memory capacity of the MaxArias wireless memory. The MaxReader also enables engineers to use the full write speed of MaxArias by employing the block write capability of MaxArias.A major benefit of the MaxArias wireless memory family is the size of the memory itself — up to 16k-bit, most of which is available in the user memory bank. F-RAM's impact on the Gen2 protocol is most dramatically seen when writing to the MaxArias memory. Unlike EEPROM memory, no charge pump or memory soak time is required to write to MaxArias memory, resulting in zero time and zero power penalties. The write cycle is completed immediately, allowing an interrogator to continue writing additional data to memory with no delay. This benefit can be fully realized when writing to the full array of memory during a block-write command. The MaxArias SureWrite™ feature prevents data corruption during full block writes, ensuring complete data integrity.
