Davenport Machine Left End Bracket - Repair And Rebuild

When we receive your left end bracket, it will undergo the following procedures, so that when it is returned to you it will be in ready-to-install condition. Your machinist can reinstall the bracket without the need for a technician.The run-out will be .002 or better. Therefore no fine tuning is needed: Step 1 - When we receive your left end bracket, we rigorously clean and inspect all of the attached components and ribs for straightness. Step 2 - We strip down the bracket and then machine any damaged components. This process includes boring and replacing threads with a new threaded insert made from 4140 heat treated 32RC material for toughness and durability. Step 3 - We machine the five bracket mounting ears so they are consistent, true, even, and balanced to each other. We then machine the revolving support ring for concentricity better than .0005 Step 4 - The bracket is relieved so that barrel chucks can be installed if desired. Step 5 - The bracket is painted light gray. Step 6 - Last, we install brand new quality made rails to the bracket. Simply reinstall the bracket. There will be no adjustment needed.
