Digital Audio Generator / Counter Lodestar, AG-2603AD, 10Hz~1MHz (Quantity 1) This instrument generates a low distortion sine wave and square wave from 10 Hz to 1 MHz in 5 ranges. The 6 digit frequency counter displays the frequency of the generator itself or it can be used to measure the frequency of any external source up to 150 mhz. I'm amazed at some of the things I see on Ebay. This item is often sold for over $200 (which it's worth), yet several sellers list it with really horrible photos. Can't they take a rag and a bottle of spray cleaner to a small item which they claim is worth over $200 and snap some decent shots - ones without a broken down lawnmower as a background? Then they say, "Well, we turned it on, and it seems to work." But a little further down, they say "This item is being sold 'AS IS'? And I wonder "Well, which is it"? And, anyway, how do you sell it in any other condition than 'AS IS?' Do you sell it 'AS IS NOT'? It's like you're selling a horse, and you say, "Well, he seems to be able to stand up." Then they go on to give you testimonials from customers who have been delighted to find that they bought an item 'AS IS' and found that it actually worked. And, therefore, this indicates that the item you're buying from them will probably - or at least possibly - also work. It makes you wonder how many of the 'stand up horses' they sell are dead on arrival. Oh, well, I'll tell you that this is a good item that I have thoroughly tested and found to be fully functional. If it's not that way when you get it, I'll either replace it or give you your money back. And I'll do my best to get Oklahoma's prolific quantity of dust off it before I ship it to you. I have several of these instruments, but I'll probably be selling them one at a time. If you want one of these, buy it now, because the price is not likely to go down and may even go up a little bit. Upon request, the 20 page Operation Manual will be emailed to the buyer in '.pdf' format. Be forewarned: There is a learning curve on this instrument. I've worked in electronics for a long time, and when I first got these instruments, I sat down with one of them, the manual and my oscilloscope. The more time I spent with the Lodestar, the more impressed I was with its functionality. But I also realized that I couldn't just twist on the knobs and figure it out.
