2014121918490687936 Digital ESR Meter Test In Circuit Electrolyte Capacitor Resistance 0.01-30 Ohm There are some conditions which will cause the electrolyte's resistance (ESR) to increase. This can eventually reach a point where it causes problem with the circuit. The ESR meter can be used to test electrolyte's electrical resistance without removing from the circuit, greatly improved working efficiency. It must be a pretty helper that you need. Features: Meter Shell Size: 130x65x20 (mm) Accuracy: 1% ±2 digit Range: 0.01 - 30 Ω Frequency: 100 KHz Test signal: Square pulse Protection: 400V voltage Power consumption: <80mw (low voltage warning) Battery: need 2pcs AA batteries (1.5V) Method of Operation: 1. Long press power key: On/Off the ESR meter 2. Please Connect the test leads to the both ends of capacitor. If the measured resistance's value is much larger than normal value(for example: 10 times larger), it means that the capacitor is ageing, need to be replaced; if the measured resistance's value is much smaller than normal value, it means that there may be electric leakage. 3. Short press the power key: On/Off backlight 4. The first line displays the current ESR value and the second line displays the current battery's voltage. Precautions for Operation: 1. Cut power of the circuit board before measurement. 2. There is the voltage protection of 400V, but for the meter and personal safety issues, please discharge the capacitor. 3. If the value shows on the ESR Meter much larger and can not be zeroed, please check if the two groups of wires and clips are well connected. 4. If you previously use the tweezer and now use the rear socket, you should set to zero, and vice versa. If the displayed value is sharply fluctuating when using the tweezer, please clean or slightly sharpen the tweezer tip in order to improve this situation. 5. In order to get better display effects, you can tear up the screen protector film. Method of adjustment: 1. Set to Zero: Short-circuit tweezer (if use socket, put the short-circuit ring plug into the socket), press the short-circuit function key and the meter displays "offset", that means to automatically return to zero. After that, the ESR Meter will display the offset value for about 2 seconds. 2. Magnification adjusting: Connect two test leads to 15 ohm resistor (Accuracy 1% at least), press twice the function key and the ESR Meter displays "Gain...", that means magnification calibration is in progress. After the calibration, it shows the current measured value. 3. If the offset value is much larger(for example, >0.5 ohm), please repeat twice the above steps to get better effects.
