1974 Ditch Witch 1500K 16Hp Kohler (Gas) 48" Bar will dig 3' deep. I restored this machine to about 90% and put it to work on a couple jobs used it around the house a lot now it's ready for a new home. It's has a overhauled Kohler K341QS 16Hp Cast Iron single cylinder engine. Ringed and Honed, rebuilt carb, new fuel pump, new points and condenser, new coil. Machine itself I went through and replaced seals in primary reducer, disassembled cleaned and repacked the planetary second reducer (High / Low Drive). Boom adjustment was froze, so I built a new boom "bar". Digging chain drive sprocket has about 40% teeth left, all Idler sprockets on bar are in excellent shape. Chain rollers are missing or worn in some places but chain is not seized anywhere rolls around bar without catching etc. New front tire and wheel, new head shaft bearings and seals ( Timken Taper Roller) and of course rewired and re painted entire machine ground up. Starter is starting to drag a little and I could find an original air cleaner so it just has an Orielly's paper cartridge filter on front of carb. I keep a bag over it when not in use. This machine will trench 16" deep by 500' long through iron ore clay sand mix in 15 min easy. It's a real hot rod!!! Email for any more questions thanks for looking. I have 2 of the 3 sheet metal covers that go on the sides, I left them off for lubrication purposes. The Belt and pulley set up in the one pic was a recent upgrade. 4 Groove serpentine taper lock pulleys with matching belt it has never slipped since installed!!! I prefer pick up per buyer on this item, but can work with you on freight shipping. The machine is located in Magnolia Tx 77355. Shipping is paid by the buyer.
