For the first time this CNC router delivers multi-axis capability at an affordable price for wider industrial use and hobby artists. 5-Axis CNC router is ready for production cutting, drilling, trimming, as well as prototype-and fixture-machining in a large work envelope (6 meters by 1.8 by 1.0 meters), accessible from all angles. Meticulously engineered 5-Axis CNC is built on rigid support profiled stock tubes and cold rolled HIWIN rails with extended height that allows good 5-axis reach and breathtaking 0.01 mm tolerance if constructed properly. The X axis structure is a stationary assembly six meters in length, which allows for one-piece polyurethane hull machining or processing "lego style" parts for a larger 10 meters + molds. The Y axis makes use of hardened steel precision cold-rolled linear rails and HIWIN sliders. Precision drilled and tapped holes of the twin overhead gate assembly are engineered with durability and rigidity in mind. When support plates are fixed, Y structure is rock solid and could be subjected to different types of rigidity configurations, - if your budget is limited and you intend to process only soft woods and foam, you can save on the second overhead frame. The practical work envelope of the tool is: 236.2” (6000mm) X (extendable with longer beams) x 700” (1778mm) Y x 41.3” Z (1050mm). All 5 axes are powered by advanced technology, closed-loop, step motors (servo drives could be used as well) providing production speed and precision. The tool includes a 0,75 - 2.2hp spindle fit to machine's 5-axis head. The 5-axis head, or wrist, utilizes 2 motors as A and B axis. Resolution per step is calculated in a separate file so Mach3 could be used natively. The tool is perfect for 5-axis machining of prototyping materials such as: hard and soft woods, composite materials, plastics and urethane foams in marine applications, as well as trimming, drilling, and slotting operations in a variety of materials. It does not have sufficient rigidity or aggressiveness for production machining of metal parts, although you can machine aluminium with reduced speeds.
