The DP-400 MOH player is typically used to play on hold music via any PBX/key phone system that has a MOH or BGM port. Up to 99 sound files can be stored on a removable memory card, and a push button is used to select a particular one to play or repeat all. This is a very useful function that other low-cost players do not have. For example, the player can be easily switched to play Christmas music/greetings during the holiday season, and switched back afterward to regular music. While other low-cost players support MP3 only, the DP-400 supports both MP3 and (uncompressed) WAV. Thanks to WAV's superior audio quality the player is also suitable for playing overhead music in stores and other venues.
