For sale is a electrical power generator mounted on a trailer with a very low 40hrs. The generators engine is rated at 26KW, the unit produces 22KW in normal operating conditions and is rated at 18KW in extreme conditions. The generator is mounted inside an aluminum enclosure with its own 16gallon fuel tank, which can be separate from the trailer and mounted on a slab or skid. An additional fuel tank, multiple tool boxes, grounding rod, 3 ducts in carry bags and a cover for the gen-set enclosure will be included. The trailer has a cargo area with tie downs, parking brakes, surge brakes, fmvss lighting, and its set up to be pulled with a pintle hook as it has a lunette ring on its tongue. Not included in the sale is the 8 ton hvac unit, it will be offered for sale separately. This trailer was originally sold together with a shelter which it would provide electrical power and HVAC to in the field. Large 500sqft shelters can still be purchased 2nd hand for very reasonable prices. The generator is powered by a 2006 diesel Isuzu engine with only 40hrs on it. This unit was taken off of the assembly line during a power outage in the region of the factory to provide power the local government offices. The generator was later mounted on this trailer along with an HVAC unit and was used for testing the thermal efficiency of insulated shelters. It was subsequently used for demonstrations and outages over the following years. This generator is barely broken in. The enclosure of the generator has an integrated fuel tank with approximately a 16gallon capacity and the trailer has an additional 15 gallon tank. The generator can also be fueled by an auxiliary fuel source. It burns an efficient 1.2 gallons/hr at full load. The generator has a 24 volt starting system as well as a battery tender to keep the batteries topped off. The following link to the DRASH website provides information on a similar unit. Drash Website for HP2C185 The generator is capable of producing 18KW of power at 120degF or at 1mi of altitude. The engines output under normal operating conditions at sea level is around 22KW. The back end of the generator is military grade produced by Marathon Electric and is the industry standard for durability and reliability. It's a 60hz generator and can be wired for multiple output voltages including 3 phase 240V with a common and ground as well as single phase 120V or 208V. Anyone with some basic knowledge will be capable of rewiring the circuit breakers and outlet panel to provide the electricity needed. Military electrical cables could also be wired to an auxiliary distribution panel. This unit and all of its systems are still supported by the factory with all components available for purchase and assistance available for troubleshooting.
