Dumore series 57 Tool Post grinder for 9" to 20" swing lathes.3/4 HP universal motor, which can run on DC or AC up to 120V. Motor armature and stator are wound so motor will always spin the same direction, independent of the polarity of the applied voltage. (I have tried 24V DC and 120V AC) This 15,000 RPM motor, with large and small pulleys, can turn the spindle from 4600 RPM to 42,500 RPM. Complete working system in good condition, ready to run. Good information can be found on the Dumore factory web site, including an electronic copy of a modern Operating Instructions, which is still useful for this older system. Notes on this specific system: * The spindle is a 5T-200-0001, which accepts any of the Series 57 spindle inserts. Good bearings. * A complete set of Dumore spindle inserts are included: TX (external), TC (collet), TN 1 5/8, TN-3, TN-4, TN-5, TN-6. * Between all the spindles, grind wheel shaft diameters of 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" can be used, plus mounted wheels of 1/8" and 1/4". * I've bench run the motor and spindle for about and hour, with no issues. * Includes the grind wheels shown in the pictures. * High quality copy of owners manual, printed on heavy weight paper and spiral bound. I have electronic copies I can share too. * Factory Dumore tools are missing, but standard 3/8", 5/8", 3/4", etc. wrenches work just fine. * Three extra motor filters are included. * A 4 oz bottle of Mobile Velocite No.6 spindle oil (light) is included, for very high speed spindles. Shipping by FedEx ground. $50 covers most locations in the USA. If you are closer and shipping costs less, I'll refund the difference. Alaska and Hawaii may be much more than $50, please contact me first. I'll consider international (Canada in particular) but it may be very expensive. If you don't want all the spindle inserts, contact me and we can work out an adjustment in the price. Likewise, I have external (only) grinding spindles available.
