Eberline E-520 with HP-270 "Hotdog" energy compensated Geiger-Mueller (GM) probe.  This is the industry standard for radioactive material shipping and will work for you in most any application including personal security after a nuclear event.  Note this set up DOES NOT HAVE A SPEAKER.  We have a unit with SK-1 speaker in another listing for $410 each. The meter and probe have BNC connectors.  These units don't make any sound when operating.  We have speakers available for $25 each plus $10 for the speaker cable or you can buy the combo in another listing.  You could get a set of headphones too with a BNC connector.   There is a HP-270 held on by the Probe clip.  This probe is an energy compensated GM detector and is the industry standard for performing radiactive material shipments.  This way everyone has the same detection efficiency.  You cannot adjust the high voltage on these.  They will only drive GM probes.  We offer a 30 day unconditional warrantee.
