Product Description The patented "Jake" Manual Dispensing Tool introduces maximum manual power coupled with continuous flow for the dispensing of single and powered counterparts in performance and is lighter, easier to handle, and less costly. The drive rod and push rods are in-line. This optimizes the power generated by the trigger mechanism and eliminates twisting of the system, a problem associated with push rods not in-line with the drive rod. The carriage is designed to keep the cartridges from moving during dispensing. The "Jake" utilizes a high performance trigger mechanism, which activates a compression spring. Together, they extend the force, which results in the continuous flow of material from the cartridge(s) through the static mixer even when not squeezing the trigger mechanism. The continuous force on the cartridge(s) eliminates leadlag, a complication commonly associated with other manual dispensing systems. This continuous flow also overcomes incomplete mixing, as well as, minimizing cross-over in the cartridges. These problems, typically arise from the pulsating flow resulting from the use of conventional trigger mechanisms as the sole source of power, versus the continuous force extended by the "Jake" system. Simply by changing spring tensions, the force generated by the spring mechanism can be adjusted to best shift the flow and power requirements of specific applications. The four-rod design allows ratio changing simply by switching to appropriate plunger sizes. The additional push rod also enhances uniform distribution of force on the cartridges.
