The beam is uncovered and protective Yellow-Orange GLASSES should be worn when using this Laser Device. The battery life is about 5 minutes before requiring a new charging. The duty cycle of this laser is maximum <30 seconds continuous ON followed by 30 seconds OFF so that the laser crystals can cool down. This uses a Quality High Power OSRAM DIODE outputting Blue 445nm Light. This laser is specifically for pointing out objects to distances of greater than 5,000 feet.
