The aluminum rotor has a maximum relative centrifugal force (rcf) of 16,110 x g and is autoclavable (121 degrees C for up to 20 minutes) and includes a polypropylene snap-on lid. The rotor has a 24-place tube array that holds 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL tubes. Adapters are available for 0.2 mL PCR tubes, 0.4 mL microcentrifuge tubes, 0.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes, and 0.6 mL microtainers (sold separately). This fixed-angle rotor is an accessory for use with Eppendorf microcentrifuge models 5415 D or 5415 R, which spin biological lab samples at high speeds to separate cellular material into component parts.
