ESI Resistance Capacitance Inductance Impedance Bridge Tester. Hello. You are looking at an ESI model 250DA universal impedance capacitance/resistance/inductance bridge. This unit was tested with capacitors covering the unit’s range and was found to be accurate for indicating the correct value of capacitance. This unit is accurate out to three significant digits. Capacitor leakage will be noted by the narrow opening or lack of response of the eye tube. You do not have this indication when using a digital capacitance meter. I tried the resistance measurement on DC voltage and was not able to get a meter reading. Either I didn’t set the unit up properly or the DC function does not work properly. Most would use a DMM to measure resistors anyway. All controls and switches move smoothly. The eye tube is clear and responsive to the bridge function. The cabinet is nice except for a few nicks here and there. The handle is original but is still solid enough to use to carry the unit. This is a great instrument for measuring capacitors for drift from stated value and determining excessive leakage. I am selling this as a functioning capacitance/inductance (AC) bridge, uncertain about the resistance (DC) measurement. Assume it may need some work to be fully functional on the DC feature.
