This Everflo EF4000 12-Volt Diaphragm Pump can be used on agricultural sprayers and spot sprayers that require flows up to 4.0 GPM and pressures up to 60 PSI. The Viton valves, Santoprene diaphragm, and polypropylene housing enable this Everflo 12V Electric Diaphragm Pump to handle the pumping of a variety of agricultural chemicals, including Round-Up, herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, liquid fertilizers, and many other hard-to-handle fluids. Perfect for weed control, pest control, insect control, fluid transfer applications, and agricultural spraying tasks. Since this Everflo diaphragm pump has a flow demand switch, the use of a pressure regulator is not required. This is so because demand pumps feature a flow demand switch that automatically turns the pump on and off as liquid flow is needed. If the pump is turned on, it will prime itself, then shut off once reaching pressure. The pump automatically restarts when the flow continues. You must remember that demand pumps require a balanced flow, so if the nozzle used on your spray gun or spray boom isn't large enough, this may cause a flow restriction resulting in your demand pump shutting off. It is recommended to use the TeeJet AA122-1/2-PP-16 Poly Line Strainer to filter out any debris or contaminates that may enter and clog your pump, potentially ruining your pump and halting your spraying operation.
