The LMS (previous name LWM) attic ladder is a folding metal attic ladder, supplied with an insulated MDF wooden door. The door is beige on the inside and outside. Allowed maximum load of the metal ladder is 300 Ibs, 350 Ibs (size 54") (according to ANSI). The 13/8" thick, heat-insulating wooden door significantly reduces heat loss. A peripheral seal positioned in the milled part of the box provides a first-class tightness.  The ladder's segment folding system and possibility to lock the door in fully open position ensure an ease of operating. The double hinges' joints and stringer's profile plugging guarantee high ladder's durability. The patented hatch hinge's corner prevents frame deformation. The visible side of the door is smooth.Max load: 300 Ibs, 350 Ibs (size 54") 1 3/8" thick insulated white finished wooden door helps to reduce energy costs approximate R value 5.2 Rubber gasket seal virtually eliminates infiltration losses All hardware fully concealed after installation Nearly invisible integrated locking latch Metal opening and closing rod When attic stairs door opens, side springs drop along with it allowing wider and more comfortable access to the attic (the widest entrance on the market) Intelligently designed mounting brackets allow length adjustment of the ladder within 1 1/2" after installation to set ladder evenly on the floor or provide adjustment (e.g. after floor renovation) Smooth door surface ready for painting to match finished ceiling Double hinges on the joints of the LMS (previous name LWM) metal access Has a few minor cracks see pictures
