Imagine your productivity and profitability if you’d made up to 120% more welds per day. The Cool Pack is the latest fusion technology created by the makers of Fast Fusion. The Cool Pack has transformed fusion technology; it can allow 120% more welds per day by substantially reducing the cooling time. For example, the cooling time between two pieces of 36-inch OD DR11 HDPE pipe is 50 minutes without the Cool Pack. With the Cool Pack it only takes 12 minutes. How it works When fusing large diameter pipe, the greatest length of time is spent waiting for the weld to cool. The Cool Pack consists of a diesel powered air compressor that generates blowing air to create a tumbling effect on the fusion bead. This dissipates the heat in the center of the fusion weld at a much more rapid rate. The Cool Pack requires no extra man power and works in conjunction with your existing fusion machine by attaching a halo to the fixed jaw. The halo introduces the air to the weld bead.
