Fellowes brand Paper Shredder, with 5 Gallon basket, model no. OD500C, heavy duty residential quality crosscut paper shredder. Grey shredder head and black wastebasket. Will shred two pieces of paper without hesitation, will shred three pieces of paper with some labor. Automatic start up upon paper insertion, automatic shut off after paper is shredded into many pieces with crosscut every approximately 3 inches. Strips of resulting paper are about 3/16” wide. Reverse feature for paper jams. This machine destroys documents, rendering them ready for the paper recycling program, or use a packing material for delicate breakable items. Machine has been tested and functions well. Feeding bay is suitable for 8-1/2” (25 cm) wide paper. This machine is preferred to the vertical cut shredders as this machine provides the deluxe crosscut to each vertical strip. Destroy your confidential documents and papers, render them useless to outside sources with this shredder. Long black electric cord is 6’ long, grounded standard plug, 120 volt, 60 cycle, United States electrical requirement. Shredding motor is a hefty 1.5 amp motor. Stately design for home or home office plastic basket and shredder head over. Shredder blades are steel. Safety switch on shredder head, head must be inserted onto the basket for the unit to function, this is an important feature. Shredder head will not operate when it is removed from top of basket as a result of the safety switch being enabled. Set head back on top of basket and the unit will operate.
