You have to have a rotting fence post at the bottom==put in a screw driver and see if it goes in and then you bang it down with a sledge hammer and then bang it straight against post and keep banging down--it takes some muscle and then put on the other side the same way and screw in the holes--I will take a pic of mine that I put in--once you have it in the bottom of the board can not be nailed in--I just nailed above it and it is lots cheaper than getting a new fence.
