The Figure 8 is the simplest descender on the market. With no moving parts, it is easy-to-install, use and inspect for wear. Their design allows for a fast yet controlled descent. Figure 8's may also be used as a belay device when a more appropriate tool is not available.  Use the aluminum 8's for personal descent.
