Fisher Revco Laboratory Ultra Low Temperature Freezer -80° | ULT2186-5-A35 Here is a Revco Laboratory Ultra Low Temperature Freezer. This item is in good used condition but has some light issues. For starters you will find scuffs to the paint job. It was used regularly in a lab for a number of years so the scuffs should not be a surprise. The two seals that are on the door probably need to be replaced. We plugged this unit in and left it on for 2 days. The temperature reached -66?C, and we could see frost forming on the outside of the plastic doors. There was also a good amount of frost on the inner chamber. The frost on the outside of the plastic doors tells us there is a leak near the top left portion of the main door. The frost on the upper shelves come from the area where the external temperature sensor wire travels through the cabinet and is not sealed properly. We received this freezer from a client of ours and he states that it is 100% functional and that we needed to leave it plugged in longer to get all the way down to -80?C. We feel like the couple of leaks on the seals are preventing it from dropping the last 14?C. This unit is intended for refurbishment purposes. We will not guarantee this unit with a 30 day warranty, however we will stand behind our condition description.
