The Lumix II  (USA Laser Biotech Inc) is a superpulsed soft tissue “cold” laser designed for soft tissue biostimulation therapy. This unit puts out a non-invasive, highly energized laser beam to targeted tissue that is up to 10 times stronger than a surgical laser, but causes no damage.The powerful light beam increases mitochondrial ATP activity to trigger rapid healing/repair and pain relief in the affected area. The technology has been approved by the FDA.         There are 20 different pre-programmed treatment modes for different body sites, with selective timer settings. Peak power of 45 watts and superpulsed frequency up to 50,000 Hz reaches tissue in depth. It is used for musculoskeletal pain/myofascial trigger points and inflammatory-degenerative joint aches and neuritis/neuropathies. It has broad uses in alleviating dental pain/inflammation and promoting periodontal, post-surgical/endodontic bony healing and TMJ capsular/ligament dysfunction. It should be used clinically as a prime physiotherapeutic modality in a physician, nurse, dentist, chiropractor, and physical therapists office.                    Purchased new for $15,900 in August, 2012, this unit is for sale for $6,500 which includes portable rolling stand (Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area-Exton pickup only), 2 sets of protective glasses, and the instruction manual. Sale is due to retirement from a TMJ/dental practice. Packaging/shipping of unit alone without stand is $150.
