ThermoTrach Heat & Moisture Exchanger Heat Moisture Exchanger (HME) for spontaneous breathing patients, for use with a tracheostomy tube. ThermoTrach is a heat & moisture exchanger used to help provide supplement oxygen as well as providing warm and moist air to patients having a tracheostomy tube. Most patients with a tracheostomy tube have them in position for long periods and in order to protect them from cold and dry air they need to have a heat-moisture exchanger. ThermoTrach's features provide the benefits that those patients require. 15mm Female Connector The standard 15mm connector can be used with all tracheostomy tubes. Clear Construction Allows for visual inspection of potential build up of secretions which can block the airway. Self Sealing Suction Port & Integral Cough Vent The integrated self-sealing suction port provides ease of inserting a suction catheter. The vent can open during vigorous coughing, allowing the thick mucosal secretions to be expelled, avoiding blocking of the airway. Anatomical Curved Design The curved design follows the contour of the neck. Swivel Oxygen Connector The ThermoTrach swivel oxygen connector allows for supplementary oxygen tubing to be connected and placed in the most comfortable position for the patient, reducing the risk of disconnection, kinking and patient drag.
