The Flo-Tron Linear Mass Flow Meter combines the familiarity and simplicity of orifice meter with the ability to read true mass flow.The differential pressure output signal is linear and proportional to mass flow independent of viscosity and density. In the meter, four matched orifices are arranged in a hydraulic "Wheatstone Bridge" network with a constant volume pump producing a recirculating flow. In the Type I Meter, the recirculating flow is less than the inlet/outlet flow. Type I Meter uses the differential pressure across the pump to correlate to fluid/fuel mass flow. In the Type II Meter, the recirculating flow is greater than the inlet/outlet flow. Type II Meter uses the differential pressure across the inlet/outlet to correlate to fluid/fuel mass flow.
