Other features of the device include multi-function displays, which show measurement readings while the right-side display is utilized for numeric entries, channel number selection and display, status information, and operator prompts. Almost all front-panel operations can be readily controlled with the buttons on the front panel, and channel scanning can be continuous, scanning at an interval time, single scans, or triggered (internal or external) scans. The input function and range are flexible, with volts DC (VDC), volts AC (VAC), frequency (Hz), and resistance (W) inputs that can be specified in a fixed measurement range. Autoranging, which permits the use of the measurement range providing the optimum resolution, is also an option. The device supports thermocouple types J, K, E, T, N, R, S, and B, and Hoskins Engineering Co type C. Also, DIN/IEC 751 Platinum RTDs are supported. Lastly, the device supports totalizing inputs, 4-terminal resistance measurements (channels 1 through 10 only), alarm limits and digital output alarm indication, and RS-232 computer interface operation. The measurement rate selection is also configurable. The Fluke 2625A Hydra Series II is an exceptional data logger that measures AC and DC RMS voltage, resistance, frequency, and temperature. Its features include non-volatile memory that can store over 2000 scans, making it perfect for stand-alone applications. The configuration process is easy, and the device combines the 2620A data acquisition unit's features with data logging memory. Additionally, bi-directional communication through RS-232C enables control from a host computer.
