This Arduino based kit puts up a comprehensive and flexible OBD-II/GPS/G-force data logger with live display and BLE connectivity. The well developed and actively maintained Arduino sketches and libraries make it easy-to-go and easy-to-improve. The kit consists of following parts: Arduino MEGA 2560 R3 (compatible) OBD-II Adapter for Arduino (I2C interface, accelerometer & gyro embedded) 3.2" TFT LCD touch display shield with microSD seat, I2C, serial & analog I/O sockets U-Blox G7020 10Hz GPS Receiver (UART interface) BLE wireless module embedded on the LCD shield Car window mount With this kit, following data can be displayed and recorded onto microSD card. OBD-II data (all PIDs available from vehicle ECU) GPS data 3-axis accelerometer data 3-axis gyro data temperature sensor data   Wiring The 4-pin connector from the OBD-II adapter is to be plugged into I2C socket on the TFT LCD shield. OBD-II adapter line definition: Red: VCC (5V) Black: GND White/Blue: SDA (to Arduino SDA) / Rx (to Arduino Serial Tx) Yellow: SCL (to Arduino SCL) / Tx (to Arduino Serial Rx) G7020 10Hz GPS connector line definition: Red: VCC Black: GND Green: Tx (to Arduino Serial2 Rx) White: Rx (to Arduino Serial2 Tx) Libraries Following libraries provided for supporting with hardware. Arduino OBD-II Library – for accessing vehicle data MultiLCD Library - TFT LCD display library MPU6050 Library – for accessing accelerometer and gyro data TinyGPS Library – for interpreting data from GPS receiver SD Library – for storing and accessing data on microSD   Sketch MEGA Logger is a complete ready-to-go sketch developed for the kit working as a OBD-II and GPS data logger with live data display. The source code hosted on GitHub. For getting started easier, a complete package containing the sketch and all referenced libraries is available here. You need to compile and download the code to the Arduino board before the kit can work. If you have no idea how to do this, please visit official Arduino website for tutorials.   How to view logged data? The easiest way is using Freematics Data Charting Service, an online service which renders data log file into interactive chart and map in your web browser. If you prefer to do everything offline, Data2KML is provided as an open-source utility for converting data log file to KML format which can be loaded by Google Earth.   Links Users Guide for Telematics Kits Support Forum Source code package of MegaLogger (sketch and all libraries) Source code repository of MegaLogger Data2KML – telematics data conversion utility
