Magnification ranges between 20x and 250x in intervals and resolution can be selected from 12MP, 8MP (interpolated) or 5MP and 3MP (optical), depending on quality required and storage space remaining. Images and videos are stored on a MicroSD card up to 32GB (not included but listed under 'Accessories') in .bmp .jpg and .avi formats. Videos have a max frame rate of 32 fps. A rechargeable 3.7V lithium ion battery (800mAh, included) provides 2 hrs of standalone operation on one charge. An AC/DC mains adapter is also included to charge the battery while inside the microscope unit. A 3.5 inch TFT colour monitor shows live images or stored images and videos that are called up using the microscope's keypad.
