This is an FTDI-based (or Cypress if you want) Micro USB to Serial adapter and breakout board. These are expensive chips sourced domestically from reputable sources. No FTDI bricks here. It's useful for breadboarding your designs, or programming an Arduino. The board has three great uses: 1) Attach the header pins and plug it into your breadboard. 2) Attach the right angle pins to the bottom, connect some jumper cables, and program your Arduino Pro Mini 3) Attach the feet and keep it in your desk. Finally, there's a 5V to 1.8V regulator on the bottom, so if you want 1.8V instead of the 3.3V or 5.0 provided by the chip, that's available. I'll include a Micro-USB cable for free, but consider that part "as-is" because half of them don't work, a junk supplier sent me the wrong parts and I'm trying to get rid of them.
