Garaventa Stair-Porter Portable Evacuation Power Stair Lift System ~Scroll Down for Additional Pictures~ This older model Garaventa Stair-Porter is similar to the current model Garaventa Evacu-trac with the same basic design. Stair-Porter is an emergency evacuation carrier designed to transport a person with a mobility limitation up and down the stairs in the event of a fire or other event which disables the elevators of a building. The unit is portable and easily set-up. It includes a Velcro torso restraint and kickstand It is complete and ready to use. I purchased and installed a brand new battery and also purchased a new 3 amp battery charger. The battery can be removed and plugged into a 12 Volt vehicle outlet for charging. Comes complete with the Garaventa Stair-Porter portable power evacuation chair, new batter, 2 keys and New battery charger. It is ready to use as soon as you open the box. Quickly folds up for compact storage and transport. Good for going up and down stairs. The patient sits on the sling and is held on with velcro straps on the chest and legs. There is an emergency stop button and forward/reverse buttons. According to the manufacturer a single charge is good for lifting a patient 650 steps. Has regular wheels to transport the chair on flat surfaces manually. This is a super nice and very hard to find system. The Garaventa website has additional information to include a video showing a unit similar to this one in use. I have fully tested all functions and features and it is working perfectly. All switches and buttons are working. I purchased and installed a new battery and bought a really nice 3 amp charger. The tracks are in great shape with minimal sign of wear. The painted finish is decent with a few scratches and normal wear. The sling and body restraints are perfect. This is a really nice hard to find unit in ready to use condition. I dont have the original manual but I am including a Stair-Trac manual because the operation is basically the same. AGE This exact model is no longer manufactured by Garaventa but is same design as the current model Evacu-trac.
