GE Explosion Proof X-Ray Film Illuminator Viewer, 2 Bank 28x16, Crouse Hinds EVF Product Details: GE Explosion Proof X-Ray Film Illuminator Viewer Cat.No. 11FV3D1 2 Bank, 28" x 16"+ viewing area This is a super duty illuminator, made to last forever as far as I can tell. GE built this viewer around Crouse Hinds's EVF explosion proof lighting system, which is used in heavy industrial applications like mines. The back pan is made of white enamel coated steel. The front frame is made of heavy gauge stainless steel. The Crouse Hinds interior parts are made of cast aluminum. The clear glass covers for the lamps are Pyrex. The Crouse Hinds fixtures are Cat.No. EVF-129 Model M6, 2 in the fixture, 2 lamps per fixture, the lamps are F15T12/CW cool white, standard type. Lamp changing instructions are printed to the back side of the stainless cover frame, which you simply pull off the fixture (start at the bottom because there are hooks at the top to keep the frame from falling off the fixture). 31-1/4" wide x 27-3/4" high x 6-3/4" deep overall with 2" deep stainless frame. You can surface mount this viewer by bolting it to the wall or recess it in a 28-1-4" wide x 26" high opening. The fixture works great. You wire to the left side junction box. Aside from some minor oxidation to the white enamel pan where the enamel has worn thin, and a few normal scratches and stray paint streaks around the edges, it's very nice.
