Nice Large Synchro with gear box assembly. This item came from the estate of a silent key and his family thought it may have been a WWII surplus assembly that was used in conjunction with his ham radio antenna tower, but they were not sure. The unit is quite heavy duty with a 1/2 ” diameter output shaft that is about 1.125” long. The gear box housing appears to be cast aluminum and the whole assembly weighs about 12 pounds. Stamped into the housing are two letter / numbers, “T801” and “SG801”. The only other markings are the connections on the Synchro that are marked: R1, R2 and S1, S2, and S3. The housing measures about 8” X 6.5” X 2.75” not including the Synchro mounting boss or the boss around the output shaft bearing. The overall depth from the tip of the output shaft to the rear of the Synchro is about 9”. Since this item is geared, it should be a useful item for many interesting applications.
