This is a General Radio model 1551-C sound level meter with the leather carry case and operating manual.  It was found at an estate sale in Philadelphia, Pa. and pulled from an operating test lab.  A 67 & 1/2 volt battery was unavailable to test the unit.  The old exhausted battery is included to facilitate the replacement with 9V batteries in series.  There is some battery corrosion on the battery clamp down bar and the inside back of the cabinet (see pics).  Otherwise, the meter is in near pristine condition. There is no reserve for this sound meter.  The winning bidder is expected to pay, or make payment arrangements, within 48 hours.  No exceptions please.
