The XY sensor is an intelligent sensor with built-in digital signal analysis that boasts advanced motion monitoring capabilities at low system costs. Applications include monitoring and analysis of structures such as wind turbines, bridges, towers, cranes, and buildings. Since the XY sensor is a self-contained digital device, there is no risk of damaging an external sensor and cabling is straightforward. This makes the XY sensor extremely reliable for critical systems. Additionally, it is a highly beneficial unit for monitoring tower sway and rotor imbalance with its two axial DC-coupled accelerometers The XY sensor is ideal for monitoring tower sway and rotor imbalance with its two axial DC-coupled accelerometers. By measuring acceleration simultaneously in two directions (X and Y), the XY sensor is unrivalled in detecting tower sway. The XY measures within the range of +/- 18.3 g in a 0 Hz to 1,000 Hz frequency band.
