In 2012 the Greenzapr was introduced to help in the fight against Staph and MRSA on artificial turf.  Germicidal UVC light as a far superior method of sterilizing a playing surface then using chemicals.  The bulbs on the Greenzapr last for 1000 hours.  A full size field can be treated in under an hour.  The basic requirements for a pulling vehicle is a machine with a least 12-15 gas hp.  The standard 3 pass treatment will kill 99.999% of harmful micro-organisms.  The unit is powered by a Honda 1000 generator.
