Haemonetics Cell Saver 5 Surgical Blood Recovery System   This machine recently came out of a closed Surgery Center. Used to salvage, process and recycle a patients own blood during surgery instead of using donor blood. It is Haemonetics most current model surgical blood recovery system and fully supported by the manufacturer. Comes mounted to a rolling cart with adjustable IV and bag hangers on top. The machine can easily be removed from the cart and become a countertop model.  I am certain it is working or can be made to work condition. I do guarantee it will not be DOA. When turned on it goes into “self-test”. During this self test I observed the machine go through a series of tests where the visible mechanisms operated and the internal centrifuge spins momentarily.  In Auto mode the screen reads “Unexpected Sensor Reading” then instructs the user to “free hemoglobin sensor, clean free hemoglobin line sensor and disposable”. I am unaware of what this means or whether it is supposed to do this or not.  When the Manual mode button is pushed the screen reads “Load Disposable” and the machine looks like it is ready to use.  There is a “Help” button that displays step by step instruction for use. I have posted several pictures of the display in the various modes.  Specifics-          Haemonetics Cell Saver 5         Surgical Blood Salvage Machine         Model No. 2005         Serial No. 98C129         100-240 Volts, 47-63 Hz, 5/2.5 Amps         Made in USA         Hospital grade cord and plug         Rolling Cart  From the Haemonetic website- Haemonetics invented surgical blood salvage nearly thirty years ago and has been an innovator in the field ever since.
